The Latino Social Work Coalition & Scholarship Fund invites students, practitioners, scholars, and advocates to submit short reflections, commentary, and insights on the issues shaping the social work profession and the communities we serve.
Through Coalition Voices, we aim to uplift diverse perspectives, amplify community-centered knowledge, and create space for meaningful conversations around social work, advocacy, leadership, and culturally responsive practice.

Submission Categories:
From the Field:
Practitioner reflections, lessons learned, and insights from direct service or community-based work.
Policy Corner:
Commentary on advocacy, legislation, workforce equity, and policy issues impacting social workers and the communities they serve.
Student Spotlight:
Reflections from emerging social workers, students, and future leaders in the field.
Director’s Perspective:
Occasional reflections from Coalition leadership on advocacy, workforce development, and the future of Latino and bilingual social work.
Submission Guidelines:
Length: 500–800 words
Tone: Accessible, reflective, and community-centered
Audience: Social workers, students, advocates, educators, and community leaders
Submissions may include opinion essays, reflections from practice, policy commentary, lessons from the field, or emerging research and ideas.
Your voice matters. Whether you are a student beginning your journey, a practitioner serving communities every day, or an advocate working toward systems change, we invite you to share your perspective with the Coalition community.
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis for possible inclusion in our monthly newsletter and website features.
